Dental Hygiene Event in Oklahoma City

February 23, 2012

It will be a clean teeth and information-filled day on Thursday when The Continental Societies, Inc. Oklahoma City chapter hosts a one-hour event designed to improve the dental health of children and provide free dental hygiene information to everyone who attends.

The Continental Societies, Inc. is a women’s organization that aims to provide assistance to the community through improvement projects relating to health, arts, education, employment, and entertainment. The Oklahoma chapter started in February 2011 and has about 10 full-time members.

To offer their support to the National Children’s Dental Health Month during February, the organization is hosting the event in conjunction with the American Dental Association. Those who wish to receive dental hygiene information, dental health tools, and even some healthy snacks can find the event at the Salvation Station Christian Early Childhood Development Center at 4520 S Bryant Ave. The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition to the event, children enrolled at the center will have the opportunity to join special dental hygiene classes throughout the day that will teach them proper dental hygiene and even how to make their own toothpaste.
