OKC Organizations Feed Children Over Fall Break

Between learning and playing, kids attending school need all the nutrition they can get! Because of lunch programs hosted by the Regional Food Bank and other organizations, students that may have limited access to wholesome meals are provided the nutrition their growing bodies need.

As Fall break approaches, many children who relied on lunch programs may no longer have the right kind of meals they need. To continue supplying these kids with the nutrients they need, the Regional Food Bank is teaming up with different organizations in Oklahoma City to host a fall break feeding program to children who are out of school.

Kids who have received free or reduced meals in school will have the chance to avail themselves of the same meals during fall break. The Regional Food Bank will be providing lunches and snacks to over 15 locations in the city. In addition, kids who fall into the Backpack Program will receive extra food.

Other organizations will be providing meals and support in the lunch program. The Downtown YMCA will be open to every child who is in need of daily meals.
