Oklahoma City Hosting Three-Day Cycling Celebration

If cycling is your life, don’t miss Oklahoma TenaCity, a 3-day cycling event happening this weekend. For three days, there will be various cycling competitions, gourmet gourmet food, safety courses, and district tours. It will be fun for both cyclists and onlookers alike!

Oklahoma TenaCity is a family-friendly event that focuses on cycling awareness. Starting on Friday, the event will feature competitions such as the OKC Pro-Am Criterium National Calendar race. The race will pass through Midtown, and everyone can line the streets to cheer them on. Friday night will also be full of gourmet dishes from various food trucks.

By Saturday morning, the OKC Pro-Am Criterium will commence as cyclists ride their bikes through Film Row. Aside from the race, there will be the Gran Fondo tour for anyone who loves to ride their bike for fun. The tour will roam cyclists around the metro districts and neighborhoods. Participants can choose the 12-mile district tour, the 30-mile mid-distance ride, or the 58-mile trek in the countryside.

Both kids and adults can enjoy Sunday morning with the final day of the OKC Pro-Am Criterium. Cyclists will be riding their bikes through Automobile Alley. There will be guerilla cycling classes as well as bike safety courses. Everyone can check out the OSU-OKC Pop-Up Farmer’s Market.

The Oklahoma TenaCity will be held on June 3 to 5, 2016.
